For the past 2 decades, Alain Bédard has been pursuing a very active career with L’AUGUSTE quartet, which he has taken to every continent. Playing only his original music, the group has played in dozens of countries on 4 continents, giving hundreds of concerts in China, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, the USA, Italy, Hungary, Ireland, UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Estonia, Poland, Russia, Holland, Germany, Morocco, Spain, Portugal, France and especially Canada (all the major cities and almost all the jazz festivals).
He has released 6 albums, including the CDs “Auguste”, “Sphère Réflexion”, “Bluesy Lunedi” nominated for an ADISQ and JUNO award in the best album of 2010 category, “Homos Pugnax”, “Circum Continum” and “Exalta Calma” Hit Couleurs jazz (Fr). The Auguste quartet is currently preparing the music for a new album in the form of “Particules Sonores”, quantifiably unquantifiable in time and space.
